I’ve decided to make a major change to the Bedevere MUD Engine (BME). When I started programming the BME one of the main features was that you could create world (rooms, mobs, items, etc.) within the game.
Later I started working on a GUI editor to create the world to make designing maps easier. As I add features to the BME I add the the configuration of the feature to the GUI editor, but I also have to add it to the in game editor. The latter is becoming cumbersome as the engine becomes for complex, so I have decided to drop the in game editor. I am a bit sad to see it go, but it’s for the best. It will allow me to spend more time on features and less time working on the in game editor. plus the GUI editor is really easy to use.
